Seerat Kapoor, who made her daily soap debut with ‘Imlie’, is being loved by the audience for her portrayal of Cheeni. She has become a household name with her debut serial and hopes to do good work in the future.

However, the actress in an interview confessed that casting couch is a dark reality of the showbiz industry and it was her father who keeps her away from unwanted people.

“They might call you for meetings, or might take inappropriate auditions. I have not faced such a situation. But casting couch exists in the industry. Workplace harassment is there in every field, and it stands true for showbiz as well,” the actress stated.

“It is true that working on TV serials is comparatively a bit safer in those areas (casting couch situations). However, there are people who want to use you, or who want to make money out of you. But TV is a safer industry because they can’t tell you that you have to do a bold scene,” she stated in an interview as per a report in the Hindustan Times.

However, the actress who is winning hearts with her acting chops, firmly stated that the power of escaping from such situations lies entirely in the hands of the person. There are people who want to prey on you after seeing your fear, vulnerability, and how desperate you are, so one has to be very careful, the actress further added.
