Bollywood filmmaker Rohit Shetty is gearing up for his biggest film till date, Singham Again. After serving several blockbusters in his Cop Universe, the filmmaker is working on the script of the movie since the last one year and it is believed that the movie will step into the pre-production stage soon.
Shetty’s Cop Universe began with Singham and continued with Singham Returns, Simmba and the Sooryavanshi. While Ajay Devgn remained the lead in Singham series, Ranveer Singh stepped in as Sangram "Simmba" Bhalerao. In Sooryavanshi with Akshay Kumar in the lead, Shetty served an ultimate visual treat with Ajay and Ranveer’s cameo.

Now, touted as the biggest film of Cop Universe, Singham Again also will come up with a huge star cast including Ajay, Akshay and Ranveer. Earlier, some reports stated that Singham is Shetty’s favourite character and he has plans to up the game with the new cop universe flick.
Meanwhile, reports are abuzz that the helmer is in the mood to add a new element to his Cop Universe. The latest reports suggest that Shetty is in talks with another actor for the next film in his cop universe and would likely cast a new name.
If the latest buzz is anything to go by, Vicky Kaushal is the next actor who will be seen in Shetty’s Cop Universe. It is also speculated that Vicky will have a small intro in Singham Again. It is even said that Deepika Padukone will also have a cameo in the movie.
WION quoted a trade source as saying, "Vicky Kaushal and Rohit Shetty are in talks for Singham Again for a while now and Rohit is chalking out a proper character for Vicky in Singham Again. His cop will be very different from Ranveer, who is an over-the-top character. Rohit wants to explore the heroic and macho side of Vicky in his cop universe."
Further, the source added, "Rohit is working on the script to carve a track for Vicky and is happy with the way things are moving ahead. Official paperwork shall happen once the script is locked. But Rohit is excited to work with an actor in a different space."

Meanwhile, for Singham Again, Pinkvilla quoted a source close to the development as saying, “While Ranveer Singh and Akshay Kumar will make an extended appearance, it’s a cameo role for Deepika as a female cop. There is also a talk of one more addition of a young cop (not IPF) to the cop universe in Singham Again.”
If the reports are anything to go by, Singham Again will go on floors by August 2023 and will hit the theatres in 2024 during Independence Day weekend. Shetty has plans to shoot the film at various locations in India and abroad, with big-scale action sequences at real locations.
Both Akshay and Ranveer have confirmed their presence for Singham Again and will be shooting later in the year for about 20 days. Meanwhile, Jacky Shroff will take off his character from where Sooryavanshi ended and will be the main antagonist in Singham Again.
