Lionsgate and John Wick director Chad Stahelski, alongside his production firm 87Eleven Entertainment, are set to remake the upcoming action film ‘Kill’ in English. Directed by Nikhil Nagesh Bhat, ‘Kill’ is premiering on July 4.

According to Lionsgate and Roadside Attractions, this weekend's rollout marks one of the first mainstream Hindi-language films to collaborate with a Hollywood studio for theatrical release in North America and the UK.

Stahelski praised ‘Kill’, calling it one of the most vivid, wild, and creative action movies he has seen recently. He emphasized that as many people as possible should watch Nikhil's films due to their unrelenting action sequences.

Stahelski expressed excitement about working with Nikhil, Karan, Apoorva, Guneet, and Achin on the English-language version, stating that the team has high expectations, and he eagerly anticipates meeting them.

‘Kill’ centers on army commando Amrit (Lakshya), who discovers the secret engagement of his betrayed love Tulika (Tanya Maniktala). Determined to sever the planned marriage and reunite with his beloved, he boards a train to New Delhi. However, a group of masked bandits attacks the train passengers, altering the course of his journey. Amrit decides to confront the bandits head-on to protect the people around him.

Variety describes ‘Kill’ as an original, shockingly graphic action showcase and a singularly intense Hindi-language martial arts film. With Stahelski's interest in creating a remake, the body count is expected to be high, reminiscent of ‘John Wick’ territory.

The original producers, including Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta, and Achin Jain from Dharma Productions, Sikhya Entertainment, and Guneet Monga Kapoor, expressed their joy at the North American theatres chanting "Kill! Kill! Kill!" They created ‘Kill’ with the hope of receiving global love.

This announcement, arriving before the original film's release, is a significant victory for Indian cinema, and they are sincerely grateful.
