Bobby Deol, acclaimed for his portrayal of the menacing antagonist Abrar Haque in the recently released film 'Animal,' has ignited excitement among fans by addressing the potential for a spin-off centred around his character. Despite having limited screen time, Bobby left an indelible mark on the audience, earning widespread praise since the film's release.

In a conversation with India Today.in, the veteran actor shared insights into the overwhelming response and the prospect of a spin-off for his character.

Acknowledging the demand for more of his character, Bobby reflected on his initial understanding of the role's screen time. He stated, "When I was offered the film, and Sandeep Reddy Vanga told me there were only 15 days of shoot, I knew it wasn't a very big space on screen. I mean, I wanted to get some screen time, but I knew that 15 days of that work was going to make some impact." Despite the brevity, Bobby expressed gratitude for the opportunity to showcase his work and the unexpected love he received from the audience.

Discussing the fervour for a spin-off, Bobby said, "Most people wanted to make a spin-off of my character. I'm like, 'Yeah, this is great feedback to get and it's a great idea as well. I would love to, it would be amazing.' I mean, as long as Sandeep [Reddy Vanga] directs it."

The 54-year-old actor emphasised that the impact a character makes on the audience is more significant than the time spent on screen, highlighting the resonance achieved with his portrayal of Abrar Haque.

'Animal,' featuring an ensemble cast including Ranbir Kapoor, Anil Kapoor, and Rashmika Mandanna, has swiftly become a blockbuster, achieving remarkable success within just six days of its release on December 1.
