Nearly 11 years after the stupendous success of Oh My God, Khiladi Akshay Kumar is all set to return with ‘Oh My God 2’. The makers of the movie on Friday released a new poster that features Akshay Kumar as Lord Shiva.

Khiladi Kumar looks terrific as Lord Shiva and the poster has left his fans intrigued. The 2012 film turned out to be a blockbuster and fans are super excited to see Akshay as ‘Lord Shiva’ in part two of the movie.

Apart from Akshay, the gorgeous Yami Gautam and veteran actor Pankaj Tripathi will play pivotal roles in the movie. The first part saw actor Paresh Rawal in a major role. However, the veteran actor has been replaced by Pankaj Tripathi in the second part.

Apart from releasing the new poster of the movie, the makers have also announced the release date of the movie. Akshay Kumar took to his Instagram handle to share the new poster and also announced the theatrical release date of the film.
As per Akshay’s social media announcement, the movie will have a grand release on August 11.

"आ रहे हैं हम,आइयेगा आप भी. 11th August. In theatres. #OMG2," wrote Akshay. Actress Yami Gautam also shared the poster of the movie and wrote, “The date is locked! #OMG2 releasing in theatres on August 11, 2023. See you there!”

With the release date on August 11, the film is all set to clash with megastar Rajinikanth's ‘Jailer’ and action star Sunny Deol’s ‘Gadar 2’.

The film is the second installment of 'Oh My God!', which was released in 2012. The satirical comedy-drama film was based on the Gujarati stage-play Kanji Virudh Kanji, which itself was inspired by the Billy Connolly film The Man Who Sued God.

'Oh My God 2' is set against the backdrop of sex education in India.
