However, over the years there have been many Bollywood actors who have accepted their addiction to drugs, went into rehab, and bounced back for the better.

Sanjay Dutt

The Khalnayak star is one of the very few actors in Bollywood who were vocal about substance abuse and openly admitted to it. His biopic “Sanju” also revealed that the actor was hooked on almost all types of drugs and it all started when he was in college. It was the supposed ‘in’ thing at that time and was suggested by friends to try it.

However, it was his father Sunil Dutt and his sisters who worked hard to pull back Sanju from his dire state, and put him into rehab and now it has been years since the actor has stayed clean and is enjoying a good second innings in Bollywood.

Ranbir Kapoor

The “Rockstar” actor who admitted to using weed during the making of this Imtiaz Ali movie to get the required high for performing some intense scenes also once revealed that he used to smoke weed when he was in film school.

According to Ranbir Kapoor, using pot during Rockstar made it easier for him to bring alive the moments on the stage with 300 junior artists alive on the screen.

Fardeen Khan

Young and handsome Fardeen won the hearts of so many girls when he made his debut with Prem Aggan and even won the Filmfare for the best male debut. But when he failed to become a huge success, at one point in his life, Fardeen turned towards drugs and in 2001, he was arrested at an airport for the possession of cocaine.

However, today he is a changed man gearing up for new innings in Bollywood. His latest photoshoot confirms that Fardeen is back to being handsome, fit, and fine.

Prateik Babbar

The son of the late Smita Patil and Raj Babbar could not have a successful career as his parents and at one point in time was heavily into drugs. Thankfully, he has left all those druggie days behind him and is now living a decent life doing good work both for OTT and the big screen.

Kangana Ranaut
