Rajasthan man who got married at 11 and became father at 20 clears NEET to become doctor

It is rightly said ‘Inspiration can be found everywhere and anywhere, if you are prepared to look and be open to it.’ And, this journey of a Rajasthani youth who has cleared the NEET in his 5th attempt to become a doctor is truly inspiring and remarkable.

He is none other than Ramlal from Rajasthan who is all set to become the first doctor in his family. His story is special because of the circumstances and struggles he went through to reach the position.

Hailing from Ghosunda village in Chittorgarh district of Rajasthan, Ramlal was forced to get married when he was just 11 years old. He was studying in Class 6 when he had to get married because of the child marriage traditions followed in their village.

However, he always wanted to study and complete his education. Although his father wasn’t keen on his studies, he understood his son’s ability and later supported him, a report in Times Now said.

Ramlal’s wife has also studied till Class 10 and decided to support her husband seeing his passion and dedication. Ramlal went to a Hindi medium government school in his village and cleared his Class X boards with 74 percent. 

Later, he joined Plus II Science and simultaneously started preparing for NEET UG exam. His first attempt was in 2019 during his Class 12th. Although he could not make it, he managed to score 350 just by studying himself without any coaching.

He scored a total of 320 marks in his second attempt and 362 marks in his third. Finally, he decided to take admission at ALLEN Kota and take the help of coaching. Although he scored 490 marks in his fourth attempt he could make it to the list.

Finally, his hard work paid off and he qualified in his 5th attempt in NEET 2023 and is now all set to pursue MBBS. The joy of his family members knew no bounds after the news reached his village.

Now, Ramlal aims to become one of the top doctors and make his village and the country proud.
