CBSE allows diabetic students to carry these items during Board Exams 2024

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will continue to extend facilities to students suffering from Type 1 diabetes during the upcoming Board Examinations 2024.

In view of the recent advancements in medical science, the CBSE has decided to provide certain special measures to the Class 10 and Class 12 students during the board examinations. The students suffering from Type 1 diabetes will be allowed to carry certain things with them during the conduct of the examination.

The items allowed in the examination halls:

Sugar tablets, chocolate, candy

Fruits like banana, apple, orange

Snacks items like Sandwich and any high protein diet

Medicines as per doctor’s prescription

Water bottle (500ml)

Glucometer and glucose testing strips

Continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) machine, flash glucose monitoring (FGM) machine and/or insulin pumps

As per the CBSE notice, the students were asked to provide necessary information that they are suffering from Type 1 diabetes during registration/LOC. On the examination day, students have been asked to reach the school at least 45 minutes before the start of the examination.
