Cuttack: The city police on Thursday claimed to have busted a highway robbery gang after arresting four persons in this connection who were operating on National Highway-5 between Khurda to Chandikhol in Jajpur district.

Police have seized from them a country-made pistol, an axe, a laptop, six mobile phones, few ATM cards, vanity bags and wallets, including currency notes worth Rs 1200.

The gang comprised of six persons and efforts are on to arrest the remaining two members soon. "The criminal antecedents of the arrested are subject to verification," said city DCP A N Sinha.
