Man Strangles Younger Brother To Death In Odisha’s Bolangir

In a shocking incident, a man killed his younger brother by allegedly strangling him to death over a scuffle at Chamarpada village in Bolangir on Saturday. The deceased has been identified as Joseph Rohidar.

As per reports, a scuffle broke out between Joseph and his elder brother Rajiv over some trivial issue. Rajiv, who was in an inebriated condition, lost his cool and attacked his younger brother in a fit of anger. In the process, the accused overpowered Joseph and strangled him to death.

The deceased was admitted to a local hospital immediately. However, doctors declared him brought dead.

Upon being informed, Bolangir Sadar police reached the spot and detained the accused. An investigation into the incident has been launched and the accused is being questioned.

“I have no clue about the reason behind their scuffle. I had been to a local haat (market) to sell vegetables. My granddaughters rushed to me and informed me about the incident. I immediately returned home and found my younger son lying dead. I have lost my younger son and in a state of shock,” said the deceased's crestfallen father.
