A pharmacist of a reputed hospital in the Capital city of Bhubaneswar was allegedly looted of Rs 1 lakh by miscreants who trapped him through a homosexual dating app. 

Tomando police arrested an accused in connection with the case while two others are on the run.

As per reports, the victim got a phone call after registering his name in the homosexual app. The miscreants asked the pharmacist to meet them at Tamando. The victim reportedly met the fraudsters following the development. However, they threatened to kill him and forced him to transfer Rs 1,00,000 from his account to their account.

The victim remained silent for a few days and didn’t tell anybody about the incident. However, he gathered courage later to file a complaint in Tamando police station after one month. 

Subsequently, Tamando police registered a case and started an investigation into the incident. While one accused has been arrested in this connection, two others are on the run. The arrested has been identified as Subash Singh of Tamando area.  Tamando police are currently questioning the accused to trace the root of the racket.
