BSF jawan beaten to death in Cuttack

The deceased hailing from Jagatsinghpur was intercepted by some miscreants near Niali and was mercilessly beaten to death while he was on his way to see a relative.

As per reports, the jawan who had come to his native village at Erada two months ago had picked up quarrel with some local villagers during screening of a jatra (open theatre).

It is suspected that the killing of the jawan could be the fallout of the past rivalry. The jawan was supposed to leave for place of posting after five days.
