Woman stabbed to death by husband in UP

Ballia: A 35-year-old woman was stabbed to death allegedly by her husband in Khalilpur village in Chitbadagaon area here, police said today.

The deceased identified as Kashmiri was killed by her husband Hareram Rajbhar after they had an altercation over selling land yesterday, superintendent of police K C Goswami said.

The accused then fled from the spot, leaving his dead wife in the house, the SP said, adding that the incident came to the fore when his son reached home.

Police have registered an FIR in this connection and launched a manhunt to nab the accused.
