New Delhi: Rejecting Team Anna`s charge that the government is targeting its members, Congress today said allegations against certain individuals in the team had come from within the group and it should be asking its own associates about them instead of blaming the party.

"Rather than attacking the Congress repeatedly, they should ask questions from Justice Santosh Hegde, Swamy Agnivesh or Rajendra Singh for the allegations surfacing against one or the other member of Team Anna. The allegations have been levelled by them and hence there is no point in blaming Congress for it," Party spokesperson Abhishek Singhvi told reporters here.

Singhvi also reacted sharply to Team Anna`s threat that it would campaign against Congress in the five poll-bound states, if the Lokpal Bill is not passed in the Winter Session of Parliament. "We do not yet have the Winter Session starting. So there is no need to make premature comments unnecessarily. This Winter Session has not even begun and hence giving threat before it is also useless," Singhvi said.

The Congress spokesperson said if any platform is made for an outlet for anti-Congressism, people will understand the purpose themselves. He also downplayed Team Anna member Arvind Kejriwal`s contention that they would not have campaigned against Congress in Hisar if Prime Minister Manmohan Singh had assured them that the Lokpal Bill will be passed during the Winter Session.

"It was their decision whom to support in Hisar for what reason. Neither we are concerned about their decision nor does it impact us. People have understood the meaning (of their move)," Singhvi said. He, however, declined to comment on the issue of reshuffle of Team Anna`s core committee, saying it is their internal matter.
