New Delhi: India and Nepal will discuss a host of crucial bilateral and regional issues when Nepalese Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai undertakes a four-day visit here, his first bilateral tour after assuming charge.

During his visit beginning October 20, Bhattarai would hold talks with Prime Minister Manmohan Singh as well as call on President Pratibha Patil and meet other Indian dignitaries.

He would also interact with representatives of Indian business community, civil society and intellectuals, a statement by the Ministry of External Affairs said here. "The visit of Prime Minster Bhattarai will provide an opportunity for both sides to discuss issues of mutual interest and ways to further strengthen the bilateral ties between the two countries," it said.

Earlier, the Prime Ministers of India and Nepal had met on the margins of the 66th UNGA in New York in September.
