The Railway Recruitment Board has announced the exam date for recruitment of junior engineers. The announcement was made by the RRB on its official website.

The notice mentioned that the admit card for the first computer based test (CBT) for RRB junior engineer, JE IT, depot material superintendent (DMS) and chemical and metallurgical assistant (CMA) will be released four days before the test.

The RRB JE exam will be conducted from May 22, 2019, onwards.

The e-call letter will mention the exam city, time and exam centre. Candidates should bring one original ID proof, passport size colour photograph, along with a hard copy of e-call letter. The notice further stated without the above stated documents, candidates won’t be allowed to appear in the examination.

To provide an idea on computer based test, the RRB will hold a mock test online on May 12.
Exam Pattern:

The duration of CBT is 90 minutes and will comprise of 100 questions. For every incorrect answer, 1/3rd of marks will be deducted.

The RRB had invited application for JE recruitment earlier on Janaury 2, 2019. The advertisement was released on December 29, 2019. A total of 14,033 vacancies were announced in the advertisement but later the board reduced the number of vacancies to 13,847.
