The active caseload fell below 1,000 for the first time since June 2nd, 2020. As per the latest data of the Health department, Odisha’s active COVID-19 caseload currently stands at 946.
Over Rs. 42 Lakh cash was looted from two separate ATMs in the Aul block of Kendrapada district on Tuesday night. At least Rs. 19.68 Lakh cash was looted from the ATM at Patrapur, while Rs. 23.14 Lakh cash was looted from the Niala Haat ATM.

The Odisha Government will abide by the Centre’s new vehicle scrapping policy after the Union Finance Minister announced the much-awaited voluntary vehicle scrapping policy to phase out old and polluting vehicles on Monday (February 1). In a tragic incident, two elephants were killed after being hit by a goods train in Odisha’s Sundergarh district on Wednesday (February 3). The goods train reportedly hit the elephants near Mahipani in Bisra area of Sundergarh district late at night. In a shocking incident, the headless body of an unidentified woman was found near Dasapur area on Bharatpur-Chandaka road in the Capital City today.
