Prabhas and Shraddha Kapoor movie “Saaho” was released on August 29 across pan India in five Indian languages. The initial response to the movie although is overwhelming, thanks to the aggressive promotions, the reviews are mixed with the movie getting both negative and positive responses from both fans and critics.
But now a new controversy has come up that can jolt the box-office run of this Sujeeth directed movie. The latest report says that the film’s creative team has been accused of stealing artwork from a Benglurean artist without taking her permission.
Artist Accusing ‘Saaho’Makers Of Using Her Artwork
An Indian contemporary artist, Shilo Shiv Suleman recently posted a picture of an artwork of hers that was installed at the famous Burning Man festival in 2014. The post carried a long note accusing the makers of the movie of stealing her creation. The art piece titled Pulse and Bloom is almost similar to the one used as the backdrop for the song “Baby Won’t You Tell Me.”
According to Shilo, the makers have used her creation for the movie without asking her or giving any credits. In her Instagram post, she expresses her thoughts, struggles, and feelings behind the creation of the art piece.
Critics have already said that the 350-crore budget movie is not good enough to be compared with Prabhas’ earlier blockbuster “Baahubali.” Although no one expected yet another “Baahubali” from Prabhas everyone hoped that it will be big enough to establish Prabhas as the leading star in Bollywood. But that does not seem to be happening as many are criticizing the slow dialogue delivery and movements of the actor that are cutting down the pace of the flick.
“Saaho” is already battling with a lot of expectations, and negative reviews and this one allegation of stealing a creation can prove to be a major jolt to the success of the film.
