The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is developing an IT system to assist schools with tabulating class 12 results by easing down calculation work and reducing time taken, a top official said Friday.

The Supreme Court on Friday declined to pass an order directing medical universities to either cancel or postpone the final year postgraduate exams, as the examinee-doctors have been engaged in Covid-19 duty.

The Supreme Court has approved the Central Board of Secondary Education’s (CBSE) 40:30:30 formula to evaluate the marks of Class 12 students, which will be based on their Class 12, Class 11, and Class 10 results, respectively.

School and Mass Education Minister Samir Ranjan Dash today held a meeting with all district education officers and directed them to emphasise more on online education and examinations. 

Nishank said that the students who are not satisfied with their result under this process will be given an opportunity to appear in the examination to be conducted by the CBSE if the conditions are favourable.

The Vice Chairman of Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE) Tusarkanti Tripathy on Thursday stressed that performance of students in their past board Class 10 examinations will play a big role in the Plus II results which will be evaluated by the board soon. 

CBSE told the Supreme Court that the Class XII results will be decided on the basis of performance in Class 10 (30% weightage), Class 11 (30% weightage) & Class 12 (40% weightage).
