Indian Railways Recruitment 2017: Apply for 638 Apprentice posts

The Indian Railways' Rail Wheel Factory has released a notification for the recruitment of 192 Apprentice under the Apprenticeship Act 1961 for the year 2017-2018.

Interested candidates can apply on or before November 29, 2017.

Name of the Trades:

1. Fitter: 85 Posts
2. Machinist: 31 Posts
3. Mechanic (Motor Vehicle): 08 Posts
4. Turner: 05 Posts
5. CNC Programming-cum-Operator (COE Group): 23 Posts
6. Electrician; 18 Posts
7. Electronic Mechanic: 22 Posts

Similarly, candidates can apply for 446 Apprentice posts under North Central Railway in various trades till November 30, 2017.

Name of the Trade:

1. Fitter: 220 Posts
2. Welder (Gas&Elect): 11 Posts
3. Mechanic(DSL): 72 Posts
4. Machinist: 11 Posts
5. Painter (Genl): 11 Posts
6. Carpenter: 11 Posts
7. Electrician: 99 Posts
8. Lohar/Black Smith: 11 Posts

Age Limit

Candidates must have completed 15 years and should not be more than 24 years as on November 29, 2017. 5 years age relaxation is applicable for SC/ ST and 3 years for OBC candidates.

Educational Qualification

Candidates should have Passed Matriculation Examination or 10th class or its equivalent and 50% of marks with ITI (NCTVT certificates only) in any one of the designated trades specified above from a recognized Industrial Training Institute.

Selection Process

Candidates will be selected on the basis of their marks obtained in written exam and interview.

Application Fee

Candidates applying under unreserved category need to pay Rs 100 through a bank draft in favour of Sr. DFM Jhansi and payable at Jhansi. No fee required for SC, ST, women and differently abled candidates.
