Three Injured In Attack By Miscreant In Odisha

Ganjam: Three persons, including two women, of a family were critically injured after an unidentified miscreant barged into their house and attacked them with sharp weapon at Inginathi village under Belaguntha Police outpost in Ganjam district yesterday.

The injured, identified as Debaraj Sahoo, his daughter-in-law and granddaughter, have been admitted to the Sub-Divisional Hospital in Bhanjanagar.

As per reports, Debaraj was in his house last evening when a man barged into the house and attacked him with sharp weapon. Later, the miscreant also attacked Debaraj’s daughter-in-law and granddaughter, who were also present at the spot.

Some villagers rushed to the spot after getting information and managed to grab the attacker. He was subsequently handed over to the police.

The exact reason behind the murderous attack is yet to be ascertained. Meanwhile, police have started an investigation into the incident.
