During the core committee meeting, leaders like Vijay Kumar Chaudhary, Lalan Singh, Ashok Chaudhary, Sanjay Kumar Jha, Bijendra Yadav and others were present. JD-U has also taken the signatures of all MLAs of the party.
Sources said that the final round of talk is currently underway between JD-U and BJP and are likely to be finalised by next week.

After the meeting on Tuesday, Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik categorically stated that there was no discussion regarding any alliance. However, contrary to Patnaik's statement, the JDU, through a tweet claimed that Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has become the leader of opposition unity.
Bihar CM Nitish Kumar said, “Our relation with Biju Babu and Naveen Ji is very old. Due to Covid ,we could not meet. No political discussions were held. We have good relations and there is no need to discuss any politics.”
Though the motive behind Nitish Kumar’s visit is not clear yet, speculations are rife that discussion on the formation of United Front may be a topic between the two leaders during their meeting.

There is buzz that Nitish Kumar wants to open the gate of dialogue with the BJP by blaming Lalan Singh and Bijendra Yadav for breaking the NDA in Bihar.
Ravindra Singh, the advocate of the petitioner, said that the case is related to Gaya's Vishnupad temple controversy in which Chief Minister Nitish Kumar took his Muslim cabinet minister Mohammad Israil Mansuri inside the temple despite prohibition for entry of non-Hindus.
