Bhubaneswar/New Delhi: The launch of Jio by Reliance has indeed raised the competition among the telecom service providers in the country with other companies coming up with new plans and benefits to woo more telecom subscribers.

Now, Idea has jumped into the pool of competition by launching a new plan providing 1GB data per day along with free roaming calls at a price even lower than what Jio is providing to give the present market dominators a tough fight.

Earlier, Idea had launched the Rs. 357 plan with 1GB data per day with unlimited calls but later upgraded the plan by allocating 1.5GB of data per day. But now, with the new scheme of Idea at Rs 309, one can get 1GB data per day with validity of 28 days.

The new idea recharge pack of Rs 309 provides 1GB of 3G data per day, unlimited local and STD calls, free roaming outgoing calls, and 100 SMSes per day. Customers activating the data from its official website or app will be gifted with an additional 1GB data for the validity period.

Similarly, Idea also has a new plan at Rs 347 for the 4G users that provides 1GB 2G/ 3G data per day as well as unlimited local and STD calls but without free roaming outgoing calls and free SMSes.

However, both the plans allow limited free call of 250 minutes per day and 1,000 minutes per week that will cost 1 paisa per second. Adding another restriction to the plan the customers are not allowed to call more that 100 unique numbers in a week, if the limit exceeds the further calls will be charged at 1 paisa per second.
