Congress Alleges Police Brutality, Gheraoes SP Offices Across Odisha

Hundreds of activists of the Odisha Chhatra Congress along with senior party members launched a statewide protest by gheraoing SP offices on Tuesday (Dec 14) over alleged police brutality. The Congress workers also staged a dharna in front of DCP office in Bhubaneswar and Cuttack today.

It is to be noted that on Dec 10, several members of the Chhatra congress activists had sustained injuries in the police baton charge during their Assembly gherao programme. Several police personnel were also seen barging into the Congress Bhawan and lathi-charging several members while they were protesting for justice in the sensational Mamita Meher murder case.
