Adding another feather in the cap of India’s vaccination drive, the much-awaited inoculation of teenagers in the 15-18 years age group kicked off across the country on Monday (January 3). About 42 lakh children in the age group were inoculated on the first day of Covid vaccination.
Mishra said that a person is eligible to get the dose if the gap between the second dose of Covid vaccine and the registration date for the booster is more than 9 months (39 weeks).
Director of Health Services, Bijay Mohapatra said that already steps have begun for collection of district-wise data of the eligible population in the age group of 15 to 18 years.
