According to information availed through Right to Information (RTI) Act, the National Monument Authority (NMA) has not given its nod to carry out construction work in the 100-metre prohibited zone around the Jagannath Temple.

The INTACH has sought the personal intervention of Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik to halt the construction work of the Srimandir Corridor Project till the disposal of the case in the Orissa High Court. 

In a significant development in the controversy surrounding the Puri Srimandir Corridor project, the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) on Monday made it clear before the Orissa High Court that it has not granted any permission to Odisha government to carry out the construction of the heritage venture.
