One of the oldest Sanskrit schools in Odisha, Maharaja Sanskrit School in Koraput's Jeypore is reeling under neglect. It has five teachers who impart knowledge to 42 students in classes 8-10.But 42 is just a number. In reality, only a handful of students attend class.
The sad reality of Odisha’s Sanskrit education has not only saddened the intellectuals but it has also dented the Mass Education Department’s claims of quality education for all including the poor.
