Meanwhile, reports suggest that Salaar 2 will throw light on the characters of Prabhas and Prithviraj who are the world’s best friends but turn into the world’s biggest enemies. The plot will concentrate on their complex friendship and the outcome of their rivalry.
Speaking to ANI, Prabhas said, “I’m deeply grateful and humbled by the immense love and support given by the audience. Witnessing Salaar’s fantastic run at the box office has been nothing but an incredible reward for me and my entire team.”
The ‘Darling’ of his fans, Prabhas also has ‘Spirit’ with ‘Animal’ director Sandeep Reddy Vanga where he will be seen as a police officer.
Salaar, a mass action spectacle, features Prabhas as Deva/Salaar, alongside Prithviraj Sukumaran, Jagapathi Babu, and Shruti Haasan.
The film has resurrected Prabhas’ career as he will be next seen in Kalki and ‘Animal’ fame director Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s ‘Spirit’.
While SRK charges around Rs 120 crore, Salman Khan Rs 130 crore, and Prabhas Rs 150 crore, Rajamouli seems to be earning way more than these superstars.
Marking Prabhas' first appearance as a cop, ‘Spirit’ has generated considerable anticipation among the audience. Director Sandeep Reddy Vanga aims to start filming in March, initially capturing a series of montage shots without the presence of actors.
Speaking specifically about Salaar, Prithviraj justified the violence in the film, stating that it is integral to the plot and serves as a screenplay instrument to enhance the drama
Now, Dunki vs Salaar has taken us back to where it all started with Zero. SRK has failed to maintain his winning streak of Pathaan and Jawan.
Although Salaar did not meet the expectations of fans like Prashanth Neel’s previous films KGF: Chapter 1 and Chapter 2, the mass action movie is getting good response as compared to SRK’s Dunki.
Moreover, the title reveal video of Yash’s upcoming film ‘Toxic’ was also played during the interval of Salaar and fans welcomed it with a massive roar. Yash will return to the big screen with ‘Toxic’ on April 10, 2025.
The film’s earnings came mostly from Andhra Pradesh and Telangana with a collection of a whopping Rs 70 crore. It also performed well in Karnataka and Kerala with opening day box office figures of Rs 12 crore and Rs 5 crore, respectively.
Rahul pointed out that every time Maharaj walks into the ground, the DJ plays the ‘Ram Siya Ram’ song and the SA all-rounder agreed with him.
If Salaar opens to positive reviews from the masses, then the Prabhas-starrer might have an upper hand compared to Dunki.
Salaar and Dunki are all set to release within a gap of just one day and as the time for the release of both these movies comes closer it seems this Salaar Vs Dunki clash has taken an ugly turn.
