Kolkata: Stressing on the development of inland waterways, union Shipping, Highways and Road Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari Wednesday cleared the Sagar deep sea port and Haldia Dock 2 projects for West Bengal as well as a highway project linking Kolkata and Siliguri.

The Centre  has granted an additional Rs 87.77 Crore for widening of the National Highways (NH-157) for the construction of paved shoulders besides the road connecting Aska to Bhanjanagar in Ganjam district.
