Making 10 parties to the PIL including the State and Central governments, Das has prayed for adequate compensation for the trees already felled. 

“If felling of trees is not stopped, a mass agitation would be launched in the coming days,” said Congress MLA Suresh Routray. 

“We have filed a police complaint today, requesting a probe to find out who has given permission to axe the trees and whether it is legal or not,” added Sudarshan Das.
