Once in the house, the accused neighbour started playing blindfold game with the little girl and perpetrated the heinous crime when the unsuspecting little girl was busy playing, her mother told the police.

The girl was all alone at her home when the miscreant forcibly picked up her and allegedly raped her. The survivor was initially admitted in Balipatna hospital and later shifted to Capital Hospital in a critical condition.

The family members have alleged that the girl was raped and later murdered.

The case has been registered by the Badamal Police and the accused has also been detained for interrogation.
