Angul shocker! Missing 5-year-old girl found dead, rape and murder suspected

In a shocking incident, a five-year-old girl who was missing is suspected to have been raped before being brutally murdered after her body was recovered just 100 metres away from her house under Nisha Industrial Police station of Odisha's Angul district.

As per reports, the minor was missing from Thursday evening. Despite a frantic search, family members failed to trace her whereabouts and lodged a missing persons' complaint on Friday. On Saturday, her body was recovered, raising suspicion of rape and murder.

The child was found dead near a mahua tree, barely 100 meters from her home. It is suspected that that minor girl was killed after sexual assault.

Police Probe Begins:

Upon receiving the report, the police, along with a forensic team, rushed to the spot to collect evidence. Preliminary investigations suggest that the child might have been sexually assaulted before being murdered, though confirmation awaits further forensic analysis. The authorities have registered a case and initiated an in-depth probe.

In connection with the case, police have detained a suspect for questioning. However, officials have yet to disclose further details, stating that investigations are ongoing.

Meanwhile, the grieving family and outraged community members are demanding swift justice for the innocent child.
