Uzbekistan is providing 2,000 seats in its medical colleges for Indian students who had to discontinue their medical education in war-hit Ukraine, its envoy to India said on Thursday.
First-year MBBS student and a native of Haryana, Nishant Kumar of Bhima Bhoi Medical College and Hospital in Bolangir reportedly died after falling off the hostel roof on April 22.
The National Medical Commission (NMC) and the Dental Council of India (DCI) have advised all concerned not to travel to Pakistan for pursuing medical/dental education, officials said on Tuesday.
