Briefing on the Covid-19 situation in the Capital city, the Health Services Director said, “The rate of infection in Bhubaneswar has always been a cause for concern. Every day, 200 to 400 infections are being detected in the Capital City."
Even though the new Delta plus variant of Covid-19 virus has raised fears about another wave of the pandemic due to its highly infectious nature, the Odisha Health Department on Friday advised people to shun fears as the State has not yet detected a single case of the new variant since May.
The third wave of the Covid -19 pandemic can well be predicted before its arrival in Odisha even as the Covid graph is currently showing a downward trend, Director, Health services Director Dr Bijay Moahapatra said on Friday.
