A National Investigation Agency (NIA) team on Thursday reached Jeypore in Koraput district to investigate into the death of a BSF commandant who had attained martyrdom during a gun fight between security forces and Red rebels in 2012. 

Dubashi Sankar, a member of the Andhra-Odisha Special Zonal Committee of CPI (Maoist), was involved in a series of violent attacks on security forces and killing of civilians in Koraput, Malkangiri and Visakhapatnam.
