The body of a class five student, who went missing on Saturday, was found with slit throat near a pond in Purbakacha village under Jagatpur police station limits in Cuttack district on Sunday.

Police arrested a woman on the charges of killing her mother-in-law for switching on light in their house in Madhupur area under Baranga police limits in Cuttack district. 

As per the NCRB report, on average 17 people are dying by suicide on a daily basis.  

As per the report, a total of 1,379 murder cases were registered wherein 1,402 people died.

Acting on a tip-off that deals for leopard skins were underway, the STF officials conducted raids in an area under Chandili Police Station in Rayagada on Tuesday. They arrested two persons along with two leopard skins.
