Close to 2 lakh registered health care workers (HCWs) and Frontline Workers (FLWs) in Odisha have not taken vaccine shots against Covid-19. 

Even as people across the State are making a beeline in front of various healthcare facilities to get them vaccinated, health workers in tribal-dominated Rayagada district are often greeted by empty houses with people deserting their villages fearing vaccines. 

No more drive-ins, no more doorstep Covid-19 vaccination of elderly in Odisha. The State government on Wednesday asked the district collectors and municipal commissioners to stop drive-in and doorstep vaccinations.

Odisha government will set up separate vaccination sites in districts & towns for people who do not have approved identity cards, but are eligible for COVID-19 vaccination.
