After her return on Monday, the gang rape survivor explained her missing out on the TI parade as mental depression. As per her explanation to her father, she said she was subjected to humiliation as a gang rape survivor at her workplace on Saturday and decided to end her life.
Despite repeated complaints about lack of road connectivity, people here in Tentulikhunti block of Nabarangpur district allege that administration has turned a deaf ear. The local ASHA worker had brought a stretcher home which was used to carry patients in case of emergency.
The survivor lodged an FIR at Paradip Adarsh police station, sources informed adding that the police have detained one accused in connection with the case.
