The Union Cabinet headed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi has approved a hike of 3 percent in the Dearness Allowance (DA) and Dearness Relief for the central government employees and pensioners resectively. The raised DA and DR will be effective retrospectively from January 2022.
While the hike will be effective retrospectively from July 2021, the State government employees will get the hiked salary from this month, October.
It seems as if the Central government employees are being compensated for having suffered a grim 2020. Ahead of the festival season, the employees will avail the much awaited double bonanza.
