Margao: Churchill Brothers` chase for the title is at stake, after they drew against Sporting Clube de Goa and are now desperate looking for a win against Prayag United tomorrow in the 22nd round of the I-League, played at Nehru Stadium here.

Churchill top-brass have signed technical director Subhas Bhowmick and coach Carlos Perreira with a clear aim to deliver the title, but failed to deliver their winning way, as they drew against Sporting Clube de Goa, despite dominating the game and creating ample scoring chances.

Their chances of winning the title have diminished, as they have fallen off the pace and are 11 points behind leaders Dempo to place themselves on 35 points from 20 matches, the same as Prayag United, who have played one match more.

"It was a frustating match against Sporting, where we dominated the match throughout, but failed to cash on the numerous chances that came our way. Now, we need to concentrate and win all our remaining six matches to keep our hopes alive of winning the title and see Dempo suffer defeats in their next three matches," Bhomick said adding that Anton and Ravana would not play tomorrow.

"It will be a tough match tomorrow as the morale of Prayag United is high, after they have come here with a win against Chirag United and will look to keep the winning momentum going. We have sorted our mistakes and are all geared up against them and are looking nothing less than three points," stated Bhomick.
