‘Tripathy’s suspension from BJD was not justified’

Bhubaneswar: Cuttack MP Bhartruhari Mahtab on Saturday said the suspension of Banki MLA Pravat Tripathy from BJD was unjustified following his arrest by CBI in connection with chit fund scam in the state.

“Pravat Tripathy has done a lot for the party and state. What CBI has done a controversial step. The Central investigating agency should prove in the court what extra information they want to get that Tripathy has not told the HC,” Mahtab added.

Further he said, “In the HC the CBI had clearly stated there was no need for his arrest. We just want to get information from him. What has happened in three days I have no knowledge.”
