Bhubaneswar: In another jolt to Hi-Tech group MD Tirupati Panigrahi, the trial court here on Wednesday deferred bail hearing of Panigrahi and two others in connection with alleged land cheating case in Kunjavihar and Puspanjali Enclave to January 18.

The court, in alleged Bhagyanagr land scam case on Tuesday had rejected the bail plea of three involving the business conglomerate Panigrahi, who were arrested by the Crime Branch (CB) of Odisha police on December 25 after the cases came to fore.

More so, the realtor’s plea to de-freeze 147 bank accounts hangs in balance, after the Odisha High Court on Wednesday asked the CB to submit relevant information and documents regarding the freezed accounts of Hi-Tech group before the SDJM court within 24 hours.

Hearing the plea, the HC also asked the lower court to decide on the matter within 3 days.

The appellant had on Tuesday during hearing argued that since the 147 bank accounts freezed by the CB belonged to Hi-Tech medical, which comes under essential services, the same be not blocked.
