Cuttack: Tension reign high here in Chawliaganj area near NH-5 as irate people torched a Bolero car which was following a truck carrying cattle on Wednesday night.
The incident took place when members of the Bajrang Dal and the Go Suraksha Samiti detained one truck carrying cattle and a Bolero car in front of Chawliaganj police station, which were coming from Bhubaneswar.

The members handed over the persons involved in the alleged ‘cow-trafficking’ to the police. While Cuttack DCP was discussing with the people to pacify the issue, the irate people blocked the NH and torched the Bolero car. Police resorted to lathi charge to control the situation and agitation continued in the area for several hours.
