Bhubaneswar:  A unique `Summer Training Camp` was organised by Dhamra Port Company Limited (DPCL) in the port premises in Bhadrak district for the students of the periphery localities. Around 500 students participated in this five day long summer training camp at Dhamra recently, DPCL sources said here.

The main objective of this training camp was to hone the inherent talents of the students on various co-curricular fields through an apt combination of several fun-filled games and entertainment programmes. The students were given training and exposure in spoken English, drawing, dance, music, acting, meditation, yoga, collage making, glass painting, cooking, clay toy and shape making, nail painting, mehndi and Jhoti making.

Several competitions were also held during this period and the winners were awarded prizes by DPCL Vice-President Prem Kumar Sinha, sources said. Besides, all the participating students were provided school bags and other study materials by Dhamra Port authorities. The participating students also visited various facilities of the port and were briefed on port operations.
