SpiceJet to begin flight services from Jharsuguda airport from March 31
Jharsuguda: SpiceJet will begin its flight services to three places from Jharsuguda airport from March 31 for which sale of online tickets began from today.
The private airlines will kick off its service in the routes Jharsuguda-Delhi, Jharsuguda-Hyderabad and Jharsuguda-Kolkata, informed Chairman of SpiceJet Ajay Singh during a press conference which was also attended by Minister of State for Civil Aviation, Jayant Sinha and Union Petroleum Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.
During the presser, Pradhan informed that there are plans to start flights by other airlines from Jharsuguda to Mumbai, Raipur and Bhubaneswar. The Union Minister added that Utkela, Rourkela and Jeypore airstrips will soon be transformed into airports.
“Investing in developing alternate fuel to power our aeroplanes at Jharsuguda will pave the way for a new paradigm in the economic development of Odisha. It will also benefit tribals & forest dwellers residing in the neighbouring states of Chhattisgarh & Jharkhand,” Pradhan tweeted.
