Bhubaneswar: The State Human Rights Commission today asked the Superintendent of Police of Balasore district to submit the status report on the Kupari gang rape incident within two weeks. The incident had taken place on September 25,2011 in Kupari area of Balasore district.

The victim of the incident had in her complaint to the police identified the accuseds and months after the incident she knocked the doors of the rights commission as the police failed to take action against the accuseds. The police on Tuesday relaxed sketches of the accuseds and even announced rewards for the public. The police had even petitioned the court to issue non-bailable warrants against all the accuseds and declare the accuseds as absconders. Now the Balasore SP has to file the status report within two weeks in the rights commission.
