Security beefed up in Kandhamal

Bhubaneswar: Security has been tightened in Kandhmal district ahead of Swami Laxmanananda Saraswati’s 4th death anniversary tomorrow. Since followers of Swami scheduled to take out a rally tomorrow to mark the occasion and culminate it on the coronation field to hold a general meeting, the district administration will keep a strict vigil on every movement of the followers to avoid any untoward incident.

A silent protest meeting has also been arranged in Phulbani today evening protesting against the non-arrest of Swami’s murderer. All the vehicles at the entry points of Phulbani town are being checked by the security personnel.
