Kendrapara: Vehicular traffic was disrupted on National Highway 5-(A) today as angry people staged road blockade after an ore-laden truck ran over two youths near Road Transport Office junction near here today.

The victims-Manoj Mallick (19), a college student and Pratap Mallick (18)-were heading towards the township on a bi-cycle when the accident occurred, police said. Both of them, natives of Mehendipur village on the outskirts of the township, died on the spot.

The road accident triggered tension as police rushed to the spot to restore order.
