Rice-laden truck overturns on NH-26; vehicular movement affected

Koraput: A rice-laden truck overturned on National Highway-26 at Salurghat in Andhra Pradesh along the Odisha border in the wee hours today.

Following the incident, hundreds of vehicles were stranded on the highway for close to three hours.

According to sources, the incident took place at around 3 am today when the overloaded truck lost its balance and overturned on the national highway.

As many as 600 commuters from Odisha were stranded after the vehicular movement to Bhubaneswar and Jeypore completely stopped.

As per the latest information, a crane reached the spot and removed the truck following which vehicular movement was normalised on one side.
