Bhubaneswar: UPA presidential candidate Pranab Mukherjee reacting strongly at the statement of his opponent P A Sangma, said, “I don’t consider Rashtrapati Bhawan a dumping ground and this sort of phrases should not be used.” Pranab who arrived here Wednesday on his poll campaign said, "Whether I have failed or succeeded, surely posterity will judge. I will not like to comment on it.”

Mukherjee who was accorded a rousing welcome by the state Congress leaders on his arrival said he was hopeful of support from Trinamool Congress (TMC) at the last moment. "I hope they (TMC) will. I can only hope on this matter. I am waiting," Mukherjee told reporters.

The former finance minister quoting West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee said that her party would take a final decision in this regard three to four days before the Presidential election. Pranab also met state Congress legislators and other party leaders before leaving for Delhi.
